They’re seeing what no human has seen before. The first civilian astronauts to orbit Earth’s polar region revealed the breathtaking view of the gleaming “pure white” tundra in the first-ever video taken from space during their historic SpaceX mission.

SpaceX's Fram2 mission has captured the first-ever space video of Earth's polar regions. Launched from NASA's Kennedy Space Center, the mission led by Chun Wang includes astronauts surveying poles and conducting scientific experiments.

Four private spacefarers on a mission known as Fram2 set out to become the first humans to fly in orbit over both Earth's North and South poles.
