Tensions have escalated between the two nuclear powers following Tuesday’s attack on tourists in Indian Kashmir.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at a public event in Bihar on Thursday that India would pursue the attackers to the ends of the Earth, and punish "every terrorist and their backers"

Security has been beefed up across Indian-controlled Kashmir a day after an attack killed at least 26 people, most of them tourists, as Indian forces launched a manhunt for the perpetrators of one of the deadliest attacks in the restive Himalayan region.
