Manitou Springs officials are reporting the death of a hiker Tuesday on the popular Manitou Incline trail.

Climbers on the Manitou Incline Tuesday morning worked in vain performing CPR on a 64-year-old man in medical distress, trying to save his life. But they were ultimately unsuccessful.

People on scene started CPR, but the man was unresponsive when emergency crews arrived and was later pronounced dead.
