As promised, Nintendo has updated a bunch of Switch games to support the Switch 2. Unlike Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, these don't cost a dime. Just install them on your new console when it arrives, and enjoy next-gen enhancements.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is launching at a price of $449. There is a limited-time bundle that includes Mario Kart World that costs $499 (which, considering the game itself will retail for $79.99, is a good deal if you plan to buy Mario Kart anyway.)

In 1981, Mario made his debut as a carpenter called Jumpman, a supporting character in the Donkey Kong arcade game Nintendo created to save the company from the financial blackhole brought on by the failure of Radar Scope, an Asteroids-like competitor that failed to fire.
