PORTLAND, Ore. — Longer days are hitting the Portland metro area, with sunset times being pushed back. The sun will set at 8 p.m. beginning Thursday, April 21.

Parts of Canada and other northern U.S. states have the best chance to catch a glimpse of the aurora tonight, including some lucky folks in northern Washington.
