It's not the fact that Kroger is closing stores — but which ones it's closing, and why — that has some local officials angry.

Chains such as Kroger, Walmart, Food Lion and Publix will be open normal hours on the 4th of July, while other's such as Trader Joe's and Aldi will be open limited hours.

While government services will be closed, many retailers and grocery stores will remain open on the Fourth of July. Aldi and Trader Joe's will have reduced hours, closing at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m ...
