I don't know if you've looked outside recently, but there's a bunch of pre-free agency trades happening at the moment. The moves have prompted some Lions fans to wonder why Detroit isn't getting in on the fun.

The Washington Commanders made waves on Saturday with the trade for San Francisco 49ers star Deebo Samuel. And from the looks of it, they nearly had Jonathan Allen be part of the deal. The Commanders landed the star receiver from the 49ers in exchange for a fifth-round pick.

Washington GM Adam Peters said “everything is still on the table” with Allen, and weighed in about some of the team’s offseason plans.
