Montana is the fourth-largest state in the country, almost 150,000 square miles in size (only Alaska, California, and Texas are bigger). And yet, about 1.1 million people are spread across that land.

I grew up in Kalispell, Montana, about 40 minutes from the west entrance of Glacier National Park. After visiting the park, I recommend visiting Flathead Lake or Whitefish Mountain Resort.
