One reason Grier was asked about Hill's status is because there's been a lot of speculation this offseason about whether the Dolphins would trade their star receiver and that mostly started after Hill said he wanted out of Miami following the team's 2024 regular-season finale .

The Dolphins are looking at trade options involving cornerback Jalen Ramsey, but they are not doing the same with wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

Grier was asked this week if the organization still trusts Tyreek Hill as a captain and leader, and why so, after several off-field incidents in the past two years, including one that resulted in an officer going to his Sunny Isles condominium last week but resulted in no charges.
