More than two years after Jimmie “Jay” Lee went missing, the remains of the University of Mississippi student and well-known member of Oxford’s LGBTQ+ community have been found.

Police in Oxford, Mississippi, have confirmed that remains found last week are those of University of Mississippi student Jimmy “Jay” Lee, who disappeared more than two years ago.

Human remains have been found in Carroll County, Mississippi, authorities confirmed. Several law enforcement agencies are working together to determine if the remains are that of Jimmie “Jay” Lee, the University of Mississippi student who disappeared nearly three years ago.
