Morgan County Sheriff Wayne Potter passed away after a battle with cancer, leaving a legacy of service and dedication.

Morgan County Sheriff Wayne Potter died Tuesday morning after a months long battle with cancer. Potter announced in May he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that had spread to his liver.

Wayne Potter served in law enforcement for around 30 years, before dying after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
