When you remember a poem, you learn it so well that you can say it out loud perfectly. There are ways you can remember a poem more easily. Think about the story that the poem tells. You got it!
Reading a poem can be a little bit like that. As you read each line of the poem, you are digging deeper and deeper, finding out more about the meaning of the poem and what the poet intended.
