The Play-In Tournament hasn't been very kind to Trae Young in recent years. Last season, he was widely criticized for his defense and his 4-of-12 shooting effort in a loss to the Chicago Bulls. But at least he managed to finish that game.

Trae Young scores a game-high 28 points before being ejected with less than 5 minutes left in Tuesday’s game. Atlanta star guard Trae Young threw a hard pass and showed off a little fancy ballhandling. Ordinarily, those are good things. Doing it against referees was frowned upon, however — and the NBA said he was “making a mockery of the game.”
