ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (WLS) -- Police in Rock Island, Illinois said last week's Amber Alert for an allegedly abducted child was a hoax. The child's mother, Princess Illunga, had told police that her car was stolen with her 4-year-old daughter inside of it.

An arrest warrant was issued for a Rock Island mother after police said she falsely reported her daughter missing. She was arrested Thursday in Wisconsin.

A 4-year-old Rock Island girl who was reported missing after an apparent kidnapping during an auto theft, triggering a statewide Amber Alert, was never missing, police said at a press conference Thursday.
