Ryanair has announced a six-month delay in its transition to entirely paperless boarding passes. Originally set for May 2025, the airline will now implement the change at the start of its winter schedule on November 3, 2025.

The airline also believes that a paperless boarding pass policy will enhance passengers' travel experience thanks to helpful in-app features such as a new 'order to seat' option on the app, as well as more direct updates when it comes to flight information, particularly during periods of travel disruption.

Ryanair has delayed its move to 100pc paperless boarding passes to November 3. The move, first announced last autumn, had been planned for May, but will now coincide with rollout of its less busy winter schedule.
