U.S. President Donald Trump told his cabinet members on Thursday that they - not Elon Musk - have the final say on staffing and policy at their agencies, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Trump convened a Cabinet-level meeting to tell the heads of the agencies that they are in charge of the agencies and departments they oversee -- not Elon Musk.

Trump said he wants his Cabinet to “keep good people” as he addressed sweeping government cuts – but he also warned that “we’re going to be watching.”
