California and other liberal-led states sued the Trump administration Tuesday over a measure aimed at defunding Planned Parenthood clinics nationwide.

California's suit contends that Trump’s signature tax law is unconstitutionally vague and requires states to violate Planned Parenthood’s First Amendment rights.

Five Planned Parenthood locations in California have closed following cuts to funding under the federal spending and tax bill signed into law earlier this month by President Trump, the organization said.
