A solid eight-game stretch hit a snag Monday night after the Sky’s leading scorer and top defender left with a leg injury.

Chicago kept things close in the first half and even held a lead at halftime, 46-44, thanks to Angel Reese and Rachel Banham who combined for 21 points during that span. However, the team appeared to lose its edge in the second half, failing to reach the 20-point mark in either the third and fourth quarter as the Lynx pulled away for good.

If the Chicago Sky are to get back on a winning track tomorrow, they’ll have to do it without superstar Angel Reese. Per Sky team reporter Karli Bell, Chicago has already ruled out Angel Reese and All-Star guard Ariel Atkins for Wednesday’s game against the Atlanta Dream (12:00 p.
