BLANCHARD, Wash — A scenic state route near Bellingham is fully blocked after a rockslide Tuesday morning. State Route 11, also known as Chuckanut Drive, remains fully closed just north of Blanchard Road after a rockslide occurred just before 9 a.m.

A stretch of Chuckanut Drive, or Highway 11, in Skagit County is closed after a rockslide covered the road in a wall of boulders 20 to 30 feet high.

The rockslide stands more than 20 feet high with large boulders, according to a post from Washington State Patrol Trooper Kelsey Harding. The slide did not reach or impact the train tracks nearby. No injuries are reported as a result of the slide, according to WSP Trooper Anthony Reese.
