“Boating is a big part of summer fun in Michigan, and the season regularly ramps up with the Fourth of July holiday,” according to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. DNR conservation officers will have an increased presence on waterways from July 4-6 as part of Operation Dry Water, a national campaign to promote sober boating.
