Harman community members were in a celebratory mood Tuesday night after the Randolph County Board of Education voted against superintendent Shawn Dilly's recommendation to close Harman School.

Many in the communities of Harman and Pickens have been pushing back against the closure of the two schools, which house K-12 students, for months since the potential closures were announced.
