Police are investigating whether three American women who were found dead in a hotel in Belize could have died from carbon monoxide poisoning, it's been reported.
The women -- identified as 23-year-old Koutar Naqqad, 24-year-old Imane Mallah and 26-year-old Wafae El-Arar -- were found dead at the Royal Kahal Beach Resort in San Pedro in February.
Kaoutar Naqqad, Imane Mallah and Wafae El-Arar were found dead on Saturday, Feb. 22 while on vacation in Belize Charna Flam is a writer-reporter at PEOPLE. She has been working at PEOPLE since 2023.
