Lakers head coach JJ Redick told reporters that Doncic was vomiting all day before Game 3. Doncic looked visibly weak and sick during the contest, a game the Lakers lost to go down 2-1 in the best-of-seven series.

Doncic, who had carried the Lakers’ offense through the first two games by averaging 34 points per contest, struggled a lot in Game 3. The Slovenian star finished with just 17 points on 6-of-16 shooting, adding seven rebounds and eight assists, but looking visibly fatigued and unlike his usual self.

Doncic is hoping for a bounce-back performance on Sunday. As long as he is feeling better, one has to imagine the Lakers guard will get back on track. Anthony Edwards threw down a massive dunk over Doncic on Friday, so the 26-year-old will have some added motivation. More importantly, the Timberwolves now lead the series 2-1.
