At least 13 businesses in Mokena, Frankfort and Tinley Park were hit by smash-and-grab burglars early Friday, police say.

Three Frankfort businesses were also hit, police there said. The burglaries took place in the early morning hours.

The break-ins come less than a week after a similar string of crime in Downers Grove, where 20 storefronts were burglarized.
