Three Penn State seniors were named Monday to the watch list for the Maxwell Award, presented to the nation’s outstanding college football player. Quarterback Drew Allar and running backs Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen are among the 80 players recognized. Penn State is the only team with three players on the list.

Quarterback Drew Allar and running backs Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen each earned Maxwell Award watch list spots Monday, according to a release. The award is given to the nation’s top player at the end of each season, with semifinalists and finalists named in November.

Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith is easily the best player in college football, and in 2025, he'll have the chance to take home some hardware to prove it. Smith was named to the Maxwell Award's preseason watchlist on Monday.
