TikTok on Wednesday announced a series of new safety, family and content features in addition to a community fact-checking tool similar to what's found on X and Facebook.

TikTok announced the pilot of Footnotes, its version of Community Notes, earlier this year. But, today, they're officially rolling out in the U.S. for users in the pilot program. Around 80,000 users are contributing to Footnotes,

All U.S. TikTok users are able to view the notes that have been rated as helpful and submit their own ratings in return.
