Severe weather remains a possibility for all of Alabama on Sunday and Monday, according to forecasters. Tornadoes, damaging winds, hail and heavy rain all look to be possible both days.

Snow and rain become more widespread through the day on Friday. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY (purple) goes into effect at 3 pm on Friday and expires at noon on Saturday for northern El Paso County.

Before the weather system moved in, Alabama had been placed under a level three threat for potential severe weather. The ranking is from one to five with five being the highest risk of severe weather.
