In recent weeks, immigration officers have arrested several people in the halls of the Milwaukee County Courthouse. Here's what we know about Dugan's arrest and the circumstances leading up to it.

FBI Director Kash Patel said Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan "intentionally misdirected federal agents away" from an immigrant who is in the U.S. illegally and was set to be arrested. Patel said that the man, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, was later arrested and is currently being detained.

Dugan previously worked for legal aid organizations and was once the Milwaukee Bar Association president. An alderman who knows her says she's the "model of public service."
