Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum give Steve Kerr cold shoulder
Steph Curry can’t carry the Warriors on his own. Jayson Tatum hasn’t forgotten about the Olympics.
“I wouldn’t worry about the Celtics if I were one of their fans,” Kerr said. “This is normal.” The Celtics built a first-half lead on the back of their defense Monday before running away from the Golden State Warriors for a 125-85 win. It was less than two hours before tipoff when Kerr provided his perspective on his opponent’s recent slippage.
Kerr's Warriors repeated as champions in 2017 and ’18, and no team has done it since. “I wouldn’t worry about the Celtics if I were one of their fans,” Kerr said.
SAN FRANCISCO — The Celtics have hit a slog in their schedule as it’s clear they haven’t been playing their best basketball of late. While they still have the second-best record in the East, they’re just 8-8 over their last 16 games as inconsistencies and other issues have bogged them down.
As Kerr said, Tatum did not complain about his reduced role for the national squad, despite the fact that he was coming off an NBA championship with the Celtics at that time. Instead, the five-time All-Star humbly accepted his role for Team USA and did all he could to help the squad achieve its ultimate goal.
The Miami Heat's Erik Spoelstra and Golden State Warriors' Steve Kerr are easily among the most successful active coaches. Kerr has won four championships and made five Finals appearances in his decade leading the Warriors.
The Warriors took one of the worst losses in team history on Monday at the hands of the defending champion Celtics.

The Warriors have been in limbo after having a strong start to the season, but they haven't been able to recapture that same fire that they had. After their loss against the Celtics, Steve Kerr shared that those types of games don't feel good for the team.
Golden State was led by a 15-point performance from all-star guard Steph Curry, who finished a meager 4-for-12 from beyond the arc. Only Moses Moody, who came off the bench to score 13 points, also finished in double figures for the home team.
