A report this week indicated that the 49ers and quarterback Brock Purdy have made some progress toward a contract extension and Purdy's presence at the start of the team's offseason workouts suggests that things are in a positive place.

The San Francisco 49ers still haven't checked their biggest offseason box and gotten a contract extension done for quarterback Brock Purdy. General manager John Lynch on Tuesday spoke with reporters and while there's no extension to announce, he did have a positive update on contract talks.
