The city of Tempe held one of their annual "Zero Waste Days" in hopes of keeping thousands of pounds of trash and recyclables out of Valley landfills.
Tempe recycling hit a new record in 2024, according to city officials. Residents recycled a record 463,628 pounds of waste.
