Gray has racked up a whopping 85 tackles this year, forcing two fumbles and recording 4.5 sacks. Against Virginia a few weeks ago, Gray picked up an absurd 18 tackles, including 11 solo.

Montgomery, who was the workhorse on the ground with 96 yards on 24 carries, iced it on the next Gray possession with a five-yard run with 7:59 remaining. The War Eagles defense took over from there.

Gray appealed their punishment to the league’s appeals committee, but that was rejected Tuesday, Nov. 12, by a 5-0 vote. At least one member thought Irmo should have received the same punishment.
