NBA pick Luka Doncic, recently traded from the Mavericks to the Lakers, will not make his return to play the Pacers Saturday.

All ESPN wanted was to feature Luka Doncic’s first-ever game in a Los Angeles Lakers uniform. Instead, the broadcasting giant may end up with Bronny James on their proverbial marquee.

On Thursday, hours after the NBA trade deadline, the Indiana Pacers beat the Los Angeles Clippers, 119-112. Pascal Siakam led the Pacers with 33 points, making a remarkable five of his six 3-point attempts,

Wiseman, 23, played just one game with Indiana. He scored six points in the team's 115–109 season-opening win over the Detroit Pistons on Oct. 23 before tearing his left Achilles tendon. Through for seasons in the NBA, Wiseman has already played for three teams—although he did win an NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors in 2022.

The 7-foot, 240 pound Wiseman now heads to the Raptors, where he will eventually join a former All-Star duo of Scottie Barnes and Brandon Ingram along with RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley, a roster which should be somewhat competitive next season.

In anticipation of Luka Doncic's possible debut with the Purple and Gold, ESPN will broadcast Saturday's game between the Lakers and Pacers.

With possibly no LeBron James, the Lakers’ role players will have to step up and play extraordinarily well against the visiting Pacers on Saturday.
