Gold coins dating back more than 2,000 years have been found by metal detectorists in Wales, making them the first hoard of Iron Age gold coins to have been discovered in the country.
A selection of the coins have been analysed using X-ray fluorescence at Amgueddfa Cymru, which revealed that on average each coin contains 37 per cent gold, 27 per cent silver and 32 per cent copper.
