Ohio State DE Jack Sawyer was drafted in the fourth round by the Pittsburgh Steelers, who announced him as a linebacker in their 3-4 scheme.

As time went on, however, spending a fourth-round pick on Sawyer over Shedeur Sanders, who would fall to the Browns, made far more sense — as Ohio State Buckeye and 2024 CFB champion QB Will Howard was drafted in the sixth round.

WHERE HE'S FROM: Sawyer is a native of Pickering, Ohio and was a two-sport star at Pickering North High School (football and basketball) prior to spending four seasons at Ohio State. He'll turn 23 on May 6.
