Pope Francis, a reformer who rattled the Catholic Church's conservatives and inspired some progressives, has died.

Aaron Jay Ledesma, a gay member of the Catholic Church, authored "The Gay Catholic" blog while living in Richmond. He saw Pope Francis during his 2015 White House visit.
