Voters in Detroit and seven other communities across southeast Michigan are voting on candidates for mayor and other municipal offices.

The closures are part of a broader reorganization effort at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, which houses the U.S. Forest Service, announced by Secretary Sonny Rollins last week.
