Officers chasing a pickup at low speeds on canyon roads in the Hollywood Hills are involved in a standoff with the driver outside a home in the hills above Sherman Oaks. The chase began after reports of a hit-and-run driver who crashed into a fire hydrant at about 9:30 a.m. near Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in Hollywood.

Police surrounded the truck as it came to a stop in a driveway and the driver attempted to back up into a police vehicle.
