The celebrity TV host gave her statement to the police today (May 24) regarding the allegation that she failed to wear a face mask underneath her niqab when at a public place.

Immediately after the hearing, netizens pointed out that Neelofa did not wear a mask under her niqab at the Seremban Magistrate Court as required by the COVID-19 ordinances.

Neelofa was recently criticised by netizens for exploiting religion for commercial gains, after she unveiled her new Fipper x The Noor slipper line which retails for RM79.90.
