A new subtitles option on Netflix will only show the spoken dialogue in the series' original language — meaning it won't include closed captioning descriptions

Netflix has announced the second season of 'Wednesday' for this summer. Additionally, there's a new teaser clip featuring Jenna Ortega and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

According to Netflix’s own metrics, the streaming services #1 all-time most popular series (in English) is Wednesday, based on The Addams Family comic strips and movies and assorted other franchise paraphernalia.

According to a new Netflix blog post (via TechCrunch ), starting with You season 5, users will now see two subtitle options. In the case of English, these will be English and English (CC). Essentially, Netflix is differentiating regular subtitles and closed captions.

Say goodbye to noise descriptions such as [phone buzzing] or [dramatic music swells], unless you want to still see them.
