Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey will reportedly be shut down for the remainder of the 2024-25 NBA season. According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Maxey is not expected to play again this season due to a finger tendon injury that has kept him out of action since March 3.

He was named the league’s Most Improved Player last season, then signed a five-year max extension during the summer. Maxey averaged 25.9 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.7 rebounds in 37.5 minutes per game across 70 outings (all starts) last season.
