Luchadores often wear masks throughout their wrestling careers. In 1999, Rey Mysterio was forced to remove his mask after he and Konnan lost to Kevin Nash and Scott Hall at WCW SuperBrawl IX. Three years later, he began wearing a mask again after joining WWE.

Rey Mysterio is officially headed to WrestleMania 41. During Monday’s episode of WWE RAW, Mysterio as at ringside for a match between El Grande Americano and members of LWO. The match ended with Americano stuffing a piece of metal into his mask to cheat for the win.

WWE has added another match at WrestleMania 41 between WWE legends Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano, after Mysterio met Adam Pearce in his office following RAW match, and requested a match against El Grande Americano.
