Two American Airlines jet have had a minor collision on the runway at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport - just three months after a deadly crash near there. The Federal Aviation Administration said the wingtip of one aircraft struck another on Thursday afternoon.

No one was injured in the close call involving two American Airlines jets, whose passengers included members of Congress heading home on recess.

Two American Airlines jets clipped wings on a taxiway, officials said. Representative Grace Meng said that, in 10 years of flying to and from Washington, “This has never happened to me.”
