Severe flash flooding across the tri-state area caused subway delays and road closures across the Big Apple and pushed New Jersey to declare a state of emergency on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Taconic State Parkway was closed in both directions near Commerce Street in Mount Pleasant due to flooding, according to New York State Police.

Major roadways became impassable rivers, forcing authorities to close critical routes including the Saw Mill River Parkway, Taconic State Parkway, and Cross Bronx Expressway.

"The Taconic State Parkway is closed in both directions (northbound and southbound) near mile marker 1.6 (Commerce St) in the Town of Mount Pleasant due to flooding," the post reads.
