Milwaukee City Hall and the Zeidler Municipal Building were placed on lockdown after a loud bang – initially thought to be a possible gunshot.

The Brief Milwaukee police released video from a lockdown at the city hall campus in May. What was initially thought to be shots fired was determined to be a false alarm.

City of Milwaukee officials raised the Juneteenth flag above City Hall on Wednesday, June 18. Milwaukee is home to the nation's longest-running Juneteenth celebration, having held its first in 1971.
