More WWE/Getty Images Recently, Mark Shunock revealed on social media that he was taking on the ring announcer position for SmackDown. "Stepping into a new ring with WWE," Shunock said.

WWE has added another on-air personality to the "Friday Night SmackDown" brand. Since Samantha Irvin left WWE in 2024, the company has been seeking a permanent fixture in the ring announcer position.
