Pope Francis stable after acute respiratory failure, Vatican says
ROME (TNND) — Pope Francis is in stable condition Tuesday after suffering from two episodes of "acute respiratory failure" on Monday. The Vatican said the episodes were caused by a "significant accumulation" of mucus in his lungs and bronchial spasms.
