The Atlanta Braves all-star catcher's first game of his rehab assignment provides some desperately needed positive news

Braves catcher Sean Murphy fell victim to the injuries that plagued the Braves last season. Just when he thought he was going to be able to return to play this Spring Training he was hit by a pitch and cracked a rib on Feb 28. It was expected that Murphy would miss up to six weeks of play in the regular season.

Sean Murphy, Atlanta Braves catcher, will begin a rehab assignment with the Gwinnett Stripers due to a left ribcage fracture, starting on Tuesday, April 1, at Coolray Field. Murphy previously rehabbed with the Stripers last season for a strained left oblique.
