Twenty-five people aboard a Delta Air Lines flight were hospitalized after the flight encountered "significant" turbulence Wednesday, the airline said.

Twenty-five people were taken to hospital after a Delta Airlines flight was hit with extreme turbulence. The Airbus A330-900, travelling from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam, was forced to divert, landing at Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport.

St. Paul International Airport on Wednesday after dozens of passengers were injured by "significant" in-flight turbulence, according to the airline.
