2025 Miami Dolphins training camp

Wednesday was the Miami Dolphins first training camp practice of the 2025 season, and they might’ve already lost a player who was competing for a starting spot.
MIAMI GARDENS — Cornerback Artie Burns, a free agent signed by the Miami Dolphins to bring a veteran’s experience to a revamped secondary, suffered a knee injury in the opening minutes of training camp and is feared to have a torn ACL, ESPN reported.
The Dolphins have a lot of young players on their roster in the secondary now and will have to get active with remaining free agents to try and stop the bleeding. While they did replenish the loss of Jevon Holland with Minkah Fitzpatrick, I’m sure they’d love to have Ramsey back instead.

The Phinsider on MSNMiami Dolphins thin secondary gets thinner following season-ending injury to cornerbackAccording to Adam Schefter of ESPN, 30-year-old cornerback Artie Burns is feared to have torn his ACL during the Dolphins’ practice in Miami Gardens, Florida today.
"Dolphins veteran CB Artie Burns, who injured his knee at practice today and left on crutches, is feared to have a torn ACL, per source," writes ESPN's Adam Schefter on X. "Burns is now awaiting an MRI and second opinion to confirm."
Selected with the 25th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Burns intercepted a career-high three passes during his rookie season with Pittsburgh. He made a key fumble recovery during a 18-16 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC divisional round (which remains the Steelers' most recent playoff win).
Then, cornerback Artie Burns was seen leaving the practice on crutches, NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe reported. He injured his knee and the Dolphins fear that Burns tore his ACL during practice, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported.
Burns is a former Miami Hurricanes standout who was a first-round pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2016. An eight-year NFL veteran, spending the past three years with the Seattle Seahawks, the Miami native was making a homecoming this season as an offseason free agent signing.
ESPN ranks the Miami Dolphins' starting lineup 24th in the NFL due to offseason changes and rookie additions. The Dolphins' biggest strength is their receiving duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, while their biggest weakness is their rebuilt secondary.
